Paul Smith’s gorgeous new store in Mayfair
New shop opening in London’s Mayfair. Inventing famous stripe patterns in the early 90s, fashion designer Paul Smith now opened his latest shop Paul Smith No. 9 Albemarle Street. Take a look inside, it’s to die for…
The first impression: Paul Smith employed young and enthusiastic architects which made the façade of his new shop appear uncommon in a innovative and interesting way. Take a look inside: The new shop enlarges the old one next door, and enriches with a lot of new space for displaying clothes and accessories for women and men. Not to forget the gorgeously selected furniture area that is as well worth visiting. The shop is nicely split into a spacious women’s area, a modernist men’s area and a furniture area. Each of the three areas is conceptually different and individual from each other, either decorated with thousands of dominos or provided with massive wooden furniture.
To coincide with the opening of Paul Smith at No. 9 Albemarle Street an exhibition of items designed by Dieter Rams will also be on display in the shop. Dieter Rams is one of the world’s most influential product designers. Hosted in conjunction with Dieter Rams collectors, the exhibition held at No. 9 Ablemarle Street presents a vast collection of his work.
Given the chance, you shouldn’t hesistate!
