Femme fatales: PRADA’s new ad campaign and video
Miuccia Prada‘s women’s collection for fall-winter 2013 was one of the highlights of Milan Fashion Weeks as usual.
The collection represents a Best-Of-Prada: Chunky footwear, billowy coats, slouchy knitwear, belted dresses, coats and sweaters – all in a mix of robust and luxurious fabrics with fur and leather details. Again, Prada presented her ‘jolie-laide‘ aesthetic of her meteroic rise during the mid-1990’s.
Harking back to her presentation, staged with cinematic references ranging from Hitchcock and Chabrol to Lynch and Beineix, the new collection’s ad campaign features a stellar cast cast of newcomers and supermodels.
Shot by Steven Meisel, the cast includes tops like Christy Turlington, Freja Beha Erichsen, Cameron Russell, Caroline de Maigret, Catherine McNeil, Rachel Williams and Amanda Murphy along with newcomers like Sophia Ahrens, Malaika Firth, Kristine Froseth and Fei Fei Sun. In addition, the video above highlights a selection of the best looks, accompanied by a Cocteau Twins soundtrack.
