News: The Swiss Textiles Award 2010 Goes To…

ENGLISH TEXT BELOW

Mary Katrantzou.

Mary Katranzou. Yesterday’s post was about 100.000 USD for artist Hans-Peter Feldmann, today’s news is that Greek-born fashion designer Mary Katranzou has just been awarded 100.00 Euros. Katranzou who attended the Rhode Island School of Design and later graduated with an MA from Central Saint Martins in London is this year’s Swiss Textile Award winner; former winners include renowned designers like Raf Simons (2003) or Alexander Wang (2009).

Mary Katranzou convinced the award’s jury with her trompe l’oeil prints and her unique style which flatters „the feminine silhouette and at the same time expresses attitude and symmetry.“

Mary Katranzou‘s designs can be found in shops worldwide such as Browns in London or Luisa Via Roma in Florence, Italy.
