Paris Fashion Week: Louis Vuitton S/S 2011

ENGLISH BELOW     Louis Vuitton goes Asia.

ENGLISH       Louis Vuitton goes Asia. The upcoming Spring/Summer collection of Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs isn’t a cryptic tale – Jacobs made the show look like a Shanghai night from back then: On a dark marble-like floor the models presented cheongsam dresses and suits – all in satin-like, shiny and twinkling fabrics; some loose jumpsuits in contrasting fabrics looked rather contemporary while hair and make-up added a touch of nostalgia. Some might say the show is meant to please the Louis Vuitton costumer from China – or genereally speaking the Asian market, others doubt that a Chinese lady wants to get dressed in a cheongsam by an American designer made by a French fashion label. Anyhow: The collection was quite a consequent move and the colorful bags not necessarily need an the Asian dress to look good…
